CERAMICS WORKSHOP
CERAMICS WORKSHOP
We do not have any more ceramics workshops at Sjellebro this year. Keep an eye on our calendar and website for more workshops in 2024!
We hope you will join us:
-To create a free space where we can enjoy ceramics together
– Giving form to ideas and concepts
-To inspire and encourage each other
-To rejoice together that we are God’s creation and that the desire to create and creativity is given by him.
It is something very special to create your own handmade work of art! 🙂
You do not need to have any experience with clay to join. Working with clay is fun, cozy, relaxing and rewarding.
What will you learn?
- The different processes in working with clay
- The different clay stages and clay types.
- Four techniques: slab, coil, pinch and kurinuki technique.
Program
We start Friday at 7 p.m. by introducing ourselves to each other. We want to talk a little about the meaning of creativity and how life-giving it is for us.
Then we will learn about the different types of clay, clay stages and how to wedge the clay.
We officially finish at 8.30 p.m. If you want to hang out in the workshop or in the café, you are very welcome.
On Saturday we work from 9.30-12.00 and 1.00-4.00 p.m. Lunch break from 1 – 2. We end the day at 4 p.m.
Time passes both quickly and incredibly slowly when working with clay.

About the hosts
We are Bodil Kappelgaard and Núbia Corneliussen. We love playing with clay. It is really experienced as a time of playing, to get ideas and to test ideas, learn new things and explore what is happening. We have been to various workshops and want to share the joy of clay with others. Therefore, we have created the opportunity both for others and for ourselves – to continue the playing and discovering.
We look forward to seeing you!
