POTTERY WORKSHOP

We look forward to being creative with you. There is something very special about creating your own handmade work of art.

We hope you will join us:
To create a free space where we can enjoy ceramics together
To give shape to ideas and concepts
To inspire and encourage each other

You do not need to have any experience with clay to join. Working with clay is fun, cozy, relaxing and rewarding.

What will you learn?
We will work with four techniques: plate, sausage, kneading and kurinuki technique.

Program:
We start on Friday at 19.00 introducing each other and talking a little about creativity. Then we start working with our hands. We officially finish at 20.30, but you are welcome to hang around in the workshop.

On Saturday we work from 9.30-12.00 and 13.00-16.00. Lunch break from 12.00-13.00. We end the day at 4 p.m.

Time passes both quickly and slowly when working with clay.

Price:
It costs DKK 600.

What is included in the price?

0,5 kg stoneware clay

7 hour ceramics workshop/learning/production/guidance

Different tools

Extra clay can be purchased. It costs DKK 100 per kilo, and everything is included – no surprises. We only burn clay that has been bought from us.

Glazing:
It is a fascinating process from the initial shaping of the clay to the finished ceramic work. After shaping, the drying process follows, and then comes the bisque firing phase, glazing and glaze firing. We take care of the drying and firing processes. The choice to glaze the ceramics is up to you.

If you want to participate in the glazing process, we have planned a workshop on Tuesday 5 November from 19. Here there will be an introduction to different types of glazes available in our workshop, followed by the opportunity to dive into the exciting glazing process. If you prefer that we take care of the glazing of your ceramics, the color choice will be made during the ceramics workshop weekend.

It is possible to buy breakfast and lunch as well as accommodation.
